Human hair extensions are used to get your desired hair volume and length and achieve awesome hairstyles. Just like human hair wigs, human hair extensions require proper care.
I. Storage
Remember that hair extensions must be dry before placing them into storage. We recommend to put them in the original packaging. To use them again, take them out and shake the extensions gently.
Note: Make sure that the extensions lie flat in storing them. Don’t forget to clean and detangle it beforehand.
II. Cleaning
Mix a pea-sized amount of shampoo in lukewarm water. Soak your human hair extensions for 10 minutes without swirling, to avoid tangling. Rinse under cold running water to lock in the moisture. Wring out the excess liquid, and dry it by tapping with a towel gently. We also recommend using a conditioner with keratin, to make your extensions soft and smooth.
Note: Never wash your hair extensions while it’s attached to your natural hair. It should be cleaned separately.
III. Styling
When using flat iron and curlers, you should be more cautious about heat exposure. Excessive heat coming from these styling tools may shorten the lifespan of human hair extensions.
In detangling, you must use a soft-bristled brush. Do not brush your human hair extensions in an aggressive manner or pull the strands, as this can lead to damage on both the extensions and your natural locks. The most important tip is to be very gentle and careful.
In choosing hair products to use, you must avoid those that contain alcohol as it will dry out both your own hair and the extensions. Dry, brittle hair is prone to split ends and breakage.
